4 Affordable Beauty Products I Love
Is it a 4 cups of coffee kind of morning or is it just me?
Side note - how CUTE is this sweater? I received it from Style We a few weeks ago and couldn't wait to show it to you guys. Next week I will be doing a special collaboration post with them so stay tuned! I just wanted to give you a little preview with the debut of my newww 'do!
(Hint: in case you couldn't tell, its a heckofa lot darker)
Anyways, lol, these four products that I have chosen to share with you today were chosen for a couple of reasons. (1) They are all budget friendly (Yay!) and (2) Each one plays a significant role in making sure I look and feel great in a way that is also benefitting my body. SO important!
Target does it again! I found this combo on sale at Target a few weeks ago, and I have been so impressed. Even before I dyed my hair darker, my hair physically felt thicker and healthier after using this. After years of bleaching and the thinning of my hair (shoutout to stress, you are NOT the homie), having a thicker ponytail again is such a great feeling. Plus, it is paraben and sulfate-free, with none of that yucky "cheap shampoo" residue on your hair. Click the link above, and try it for yourself! I would love to see if you have the same results!
I have talked about these before, and I will do it again. Hands down, I do not think my hair would be nearly as healthy as it is without these. Once my hair starts to feel dry, I pop in one of these for an hour. Haha I actually think I use them wrong, but the way I use them works wonders! Instead of using it in the shower instead of my normal conditioner, I lather it all over my hair completely dry. I let it sit for an hour or so, sometimes overnight, and then wash and condition my hair normally in the shower. My hair comes out silky smooth, and the softness lasts even after a few washes.
Here you go! I posted a picture of this new skincare routine on my Instagram and promised I would share my thoughts with you. This has made my list of favorite beauty products, so obviously, I love using it. It is really moisturizing, which is great for my dry skin. As I am sitting here writing this, I keep touching my face because it still feels soft from the night cream I put on last night before bed! Before, I was using just a regular moisturizer from the drug store, and I would be in serious need of another layer of it by morning time. I really suggest trying it if you have any redness in your face, as mine was clearly linked to my skin lacking moisture it so desperately needed.
4. Spray Tanning
You heard me. And I am not embarrassed to admit that spray tanning is a top beauty product for me! Why? Because wrinkles at 30 is not in my game plan, and it shouldn't be in yours either! I know - you say spray tan and everyone automatically pictures an Oompa Loompa. The trick to getting a natural looking spray-tanned glow is to know what to ask for, and how your skin reacts to the pigment. Mine, for example, soaks up the pigment like nobody's business. Typically, the girl doing it only needs to do one layer, going over my stomach and legs lightly a second time. On the contrary, I know women who need 3 layers in order to get a good tan for their skin tone. I say start out by asking for 2 layers, then adjust to more or less next time you go in.
NOTE: This only really applies for airbrush spray tanning (you know, where you have to awkwardly stand butt-naked in front of a strange woman, spread eagle while they spray all your nooks and crannies).
Despite that description, it really isn't that awkward, and you aren't completely "spread eagle", but you get the picture. I would choose airbrush over an automatic booth ANY DAY for many reasons. If you haven't tried it before, just remember that they spray people all day, so don't feel insecure or worried that they are judging you! Its their job to make you look tan and fabulous. Give it a try :)
If you are in Tucson, I go to Beach Bunnie located on University Blvd. I've tried a few other places, but no one has beat their quality and consistency for me. I never question what I'm going to end up looking like afterwards, so that is major brownie points with me! You also get a student discount when you bring your Cat Card, making it only $20 ;)
I may create a separate post on spray tanning, tips & tricks, things to know, that sort of thing. Is that something you'd like to see? Let me know!
I hope this was helpful for you! When you try out these products, let me know how they worked for you. Here's to hoping you get the same great results as I do! :)
Have a great weekend, stay safe, and be happy!
