Hi there! I hope that you’re having a great week so far!
In response to a few questions I got earlier this week about what mascara I like to use (post is here), I wanted to give you a little sneak peek at some of the things I carry inside my beauty bag!
Now, depending on where I’m going or what I’m doing in a particular day, this list may be longer or shorter. These are the items I most often carry.
I snagged this little bag at Target… for 3 dollars. My mind was blown. I just think it is so cute and so me! What you can’t really tell from pictures is that it is gold and shimmery. It isn’t available online, but I linked two other cute ones below! (I found mine in the dollar section relatively recently, so make sure to look on your next trip to Target!)
1. Revlon, Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in HD Kisses #655
This is a new lip color for me and I am so in love!! I have been needing a matte color, and I don’t think I could’ve picked a better shade!
2. L’Oréal, True Match powder in Warm Nude Beige (W3)
Okay, confession time. I’ve used this powder in my makeup routine since freshman year of high school. For 98% of that time I have been using the wrong color. *face palm* For the first time, the color I chose (because the one I normally buy was sold out) actually matches in tone and shade. Thank you makeup Gods for shedding light on my ignorance. Regardless, I’ve used it for so long because it actually works miracles in getting rid of shine on my face. I hate to look dewy, this makes everything matte and smooth after applying my all-time favorite tinted moisturizer – ( bareMinerals Hydrating Gel Cream, Birch, 1.18 Fluid Ounce )
3. Rimmel London, “Exaggerate” full color lip liner in Enchantment #070
It is a really close match to my natural lip color, so I really like to carry it with me. My lips tend to be more heavily pigmented naturally in the mornings and fade throughout the day. I like to keep this little guy around to fill in my lips once they start losing that natural vibrancy.
4. EOS lip balm
I love these! I think to say that I am obsessed with chapstick is an understatement. In my actual makeup bag I have 3 different kinds and I use them all – lol. I really like the EOS because they moisturize my lips really well, and let’s be honest, their shape makes them very easy to hunt down in a bag full of stuff!
5. Sally Hansen Cuticle Massage Cream
My mom actually introduced this to me not too long ago! I have this really horrible habit of picking my cuticles and the skin around my fingers any time I get a slight hangnail. Something that helps a lot is to keep the area super moisturized, so I’ve begun carrying this around so that I always have it when I need it. I’ve found that I prefer to have a cream moisturizer as opposed to cuticle oil (I touch my hair waaaay too much to have any extra oil on my hands!)
6. L’Oréal Voluminous Curved Brush mascara in black
This has been my all time favorite mascara for years!! It makes my lashes super long and full. Definitely recommend the curved brush versus the straight brush option for a more full look. By personal preference, I like to freshen it up after some time so it usually comes with me when I’m leaving the house for longer periods of time.
What are some beauty essentials that you carry with you? Let me know!
Have a great weekend!
