See you soon, San Diego!

Hello there – and how I’ve missed posting on here!

Life is amazing, but sometimes it can get crazy and a little messy. I have been so bummed about not being on here as much lately, but this last month has been one of those “messy” times I’m talking about.

To keep you in the loop, I am writing from my parent’s home in Phoenix, Arizona. I finished college and graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Communication this past weekend. My family came down from Phoenix and flew in from Missouri, and I had the best time celebrating with them and my friends. So I am now up here, visiting and finally RELAXING. That is for about 5 minutes.

But, its time to explain my hiatus –

I have been stressing like crazy these last few months, not having a job lined up or a place to live after graduation. I am HUGE on planning. I like to have a plan and I like to stick to my plan at all costs… so naturally I have been freaking out.

Early Monday morning, I got the best phone call I’ve ever had on a Monday, or any day for that matter.

I GOT THE JOB.

Not just any job. I got the job I was dying to get… in SAN DIEGO. WHAT?! (For those of you know don’t know me personally, this has been my dream for as long as I can remember!)

Pinch me please?!

Que the frantic phone calls to all my family members and the tears of pure joy! So now, we are in the process of getting me moved out there – before next Monday. That means the hustle is REAL. Everything is happening so fast, but I am super excited to see what this new chapter of life holds for me.

It hasn’t been easy, and I’m sure it won’t be like walking through a field of flowers once I’m there, but I am as ready as I will ever be to tackle this new adventure.

Tomorrow, we will take the next big step and head out there in search of a new apartment. It is beyond crazy to think of today as my last day in Arizona, having lived here for 20 years! I have butterflies, nerves, joy, excitement, and every other emotion going into this move. I will be sure to keep y’all updated via Instagram stories with how the search goes!

Are you from San Diego? Send me all your recommendations for coffee, restaurants, things to see, everything!
