Happy Monday, and welcome back!
How was your weekend?
Mine went by too fast (again), but it was a pretty exciting one! If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that I took a leap into the past, and dyed my hair back to brunette! I was shooting for around my natural color, and I love how it turned out. Next time, I plan to add some dimension to it (maybe some balayage action?). I love finding new hairstyles on Pinterest, anyone with me?
Embracing change is a part of life and it can be fun if you allow it to be! I’ve got a lot of that coming within the next 6 weeks, so wish me luck in sticking to that mantra – lol. With graduation LITERALLY around the corner as it is already almost APRIL, I wanted to bring to you one of my favorite new “work attire” finds!
This pinstripe jumpsuit makes me SO happy when I’m wearing it!
TIP: If you are on the short-side, the right jumpsuit can instantly give you visual height. This one is the perfect example. The high waistline draws the eye upwards, making it look as though your legs start much higher up on your body. AND, to make it even better, vertical stripes also are very elongating. The pants on this one run a little long on me, so adding a strappy, heeled sandal also gave me a little boost in height.
If you’ve already got legs for daayyss, something like this will only better accentuate such a fabulous feature! You go girl!
I also love the way navy looks against bright red (I know, very patriotic of me), so I added my favorite red lipstick into the mix for a pop of color. I’ve talked about this before, but I am all about mixing trendy items with items that I deem to be “classics”. Sooo – I paired my favorite oversized sunglasses (trendy) with the red lip (classic – duh), which keeps the outfit interesting without having over-doing it on the “trendy” factor. It is all about balance!
Hope you all made it through Monday and have come out happy, healthy, and ready to take on the rest of the week!
