Little Black Ruffle Dress

Hi there! Happy Friday, everyone!

Did everyone have a nice week? I feel like I have been running around like crazy, which is why this post is coming up a little later tonight than I would’ve liked – lol sorry about that! But I honestly couldn’t wait another day to share this look with you.

This dress is by far my favorite little black dress (LBD) in my closet. The ruffles make it feel so feminine and classy. And – not going to lie, they make twirling around in the dress that much more fun! This one-of-a-kind dress comes from StyleWe, an online retailer that connects independent designers with the public. Both of the items I received from them were really unique and great quality. By great quality, I mean that the fabric (on both items!) isn’t cheap-looking, it is thick and they sewn together well.

I had seen their clothes on girls before and always thought they looked amazing, so when they reached out to me to collaborate I was over the moon! Their online store has a large selection, I definitely recommend taking a look, you’re likely to find something different and beautiful! My items arrived in less than 2 weeks, which was great because I am 100% not patient, by any means – haha. Tell me you feel the same way? At least about receiving your items from online stores? This sweater is the other item I received from them!

Despite what is widely believed, black is totally acceptable any time of year, if you accessorize it right.

I chose to pair my dress with a neutral bag and shoes, creating a more sophisticated look. To keep the outfit from becoming too monotone, I threw in these super fun, dangle earrings that contain a variety of color. You could wear this dress to a formal wedding (tis the season!), on a nice dinner date, or to anything that would be deemed “cocktail” attire! What makes this look appropriate for spring is the bright color of the earrings, the sandal heel, and the light-colored tan bag. The key to making a LBD “spring appropriate” is to incorporate lighter or brighter color accessories and open toe shoes. You could also wear a bright colored lipstick if you aren’t a dangle earring kind of girl.

Play around with it. Make it fun.

I am heading up to Phoenix for the weekend, are you doing anything fun? Let me know! 🙂

xo,

Anna
